Title:  A View of Delft, with a Musical Instrument Seller's Stall
Artist:  Fabritius, Carel [Dutch, 1624?-1654]
Year:  1652
Material:  oil on canvas mounted on walnut wood
Dimensions:  15.5 × 31.7 cm (6.1 × 12.5 in)
Where:  National Gallery, London
Notes:  This is one of Fabritius' paintings showing his interest in extreme perspective effects. It is possible that the picture formed part of a perspective box. The writing on the wall by the shadow of the lute is the artist's signature - C. Fabritius, written in the perspective of the scene.
